After breakfast, we will have our first tour in Vietnam-Ho Chi Tunnels.  Ho Chi tunnels  is 70 kilometers North West of down town Ho Chi Minh City. The Cu Chi Tunnel system had been created long time back, from 1948 to assist Viet Minh in the combat with French. And it was continuing built over 25 years later. It was an underground city with living areas, kitchens, storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers. In places, it was housed up to 10,000 people who virtually lived underground for years.... getting married, giving birth. During the American War the entire area of Cu Chi was designated a free fire zone and was heavily bombarded. From 1988, two sections of tunnels have been open for visitors. It will be a half-day tour, so you’ll be back at the hotel early in the afternoon to explore Ho Chi Minh City on your own.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)

Friday, November 28

After breakfast, we will need to pack and head to the airport for our domestic flight to Dalat.  This is where we will have a couple of days of Vietnam adventure!  We will be picked up from the airport in Dalat, already in our hiking gear.  From here we will drive to the beginning of our hike called “Jungle Boogie.”
Our trek begins on a boat to get to the trailhead.  The boat crosses the lake to the far southern end, where there is more of a broad leaf evergreen ecology and less pine forest. You may even see an elephant!  The trek starts through pine forest and moves gradually uphill through a small meadow before crossing a stream and heading up into the thicker jungle canopy. We may even see wild orchids or a troop of monkeys. We will work our way uphill to the summit to have lunch and enjoy the beautiful views.
After lunch the trail goes downhill gradually along a ridgeline and the jungle canopy starts to thin out before we come to a clearing where the jungle ends. This is a moderate hike.
Overnight in Dalat

Saturday, November 29

Another day of Adventure! After a hearty breakfast, we will start our water trips of the day.  Choose between Canyoning and Kayaking.

Canyoning -This is for the adrenalin junkie!  Must love water!
What is canyoning? Canyoning is navigating your way through a canyon. In this case, the canyon contains water and in some sections the topography requires ropes to navigate our way successfully. Other sections can be hiked or swam through.  At the practice slope you’ll learn the basics of knot tying, harness wearing, hardware, and proper rappelling technique. After the guides are satisfied that you’ve got it down, you’ll head down your first rappel! It is an exciting 20-meter descent. You will go down five rappels, the last being the most challenging, known as “The Washing Machine.”

Kayaking -This one-day outing takes you to one of the many beautiful lakes on the Langbian Plateau Ho Tuyen Lam, which is truly one of the great hidden outdoor gems of South East Asia.  A vehicle transports you around 10 km from Dalat to the boat launch.
From here we trek out to the kayak launch, which is only accessible by foot or boat.  In our kayaks, we begin exploring the many inlets and secret spots on the lake that is only accessible by boat. After about 2 hours of exploring, we make our way to the far end of the lake for lunch.  There will also be a chance to swim in the lake.
Overnight in Dalat

Sunday, November 30

After breakfast, we will transfer to the airport for our journey to Paradise!  We will catch a morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City and once there, transfer to our flight to Phu Quoc Island.  We will arrive early afternoon, transfer to our hotel, and check in.  For the next two days, you will have your choice of leisure on this beautiful Vietnam Island.
